Business Development Manager Summary
The Business Development Manager drives growth and profitability through strategic market expansion, resource optimization, and partnership development, focusing on MedTech OEM customers and enhancing the company’s market position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Secure new business in single-use polymer applications for Medical Devices, Medical Packaging, and Robotic Assisted Surgery.
- Engage with OEMs across Purchasing, Engineering, Operations, and C-Suite to establish funded development projects and long-term partnerships.
- Drive strategic pricing, promote technologies, and optimize growth across business segments and UFP sites.
- Collaborate with Marketing on lead generation and outreach.
- Guide engineers in cost analysis, business proposals, customer presentations, and pipeline management.
- Work with technology labs and sales teams to pursue growth through material innovation, client management, and technical solutions.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5–15 years of MedTech sales experience.
- Proven B2B sales success with medical OEMs; engineering or technical background preferred.
- Experience with flexible polymer materials, processes (e.g., RF welding, Thermoforming), and medical devices.
- Strong skills in sales planning, closing, financial analysis, and leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; travel up to 50%.
